My Masterpiece!
~CHOSEN~
I have been writing my novel for two and a half years! (I know this because my son was six months old... he just had his third birthday). In the beginning I had thought to just spit out a cheesy romance to make a quick buck, but my writing soon evolved and so had my thinking. I am not finally ten chapters from the end of my book! (There are 70 chapters and 3 parts right now, though I am considering to merge some of the chapters together... ) Of course I am not disillusioned in any way, I know that the end of my book means that I will shortly be re-writing it all over again, more than once I'm sure. ( I am lucky to have an editor who teaches writing classes as my neighbor, she has offered me her services in exchange for some gardening work, woohoo!)
My book is a fantasy-romance-time travel about a woman named Alexa who falls into the past then is thrown into the future again only to find it completely changed. Then struggle to return home again to the past so that she can go back to the future. She is told that she has been chosen to free the world of a sadistic witch who also has a tendency to partake in cannibalism. Of coarse she has been equipped with magical powers to defend against this Witch, but she cannot do it alone. Arwain the darkly hansom weather mage is her teacher and in the final fight against the Witch he will play the part of the 'key' that will release something within her to defeat the evil that threatens them all. But once it is all over will she want to return to the future?
Ok, well maybe not a 'selling' paragraph explaining my book, but its the best I came up with in the two minutes it took me to write it.
